2022: Saints enter December 4-8, finish 7-10
2023: Saints enter December 5-6, finish 9-8
2024: Saints enter December 4-7, finish 5-12
2025: Saints enter December 2-10, will likely finish the month 4-0 and will close 7-10/6-11

15-31 (32.6%) heading into December over the last 4 years and 11-9 (55%) post-December. This team has repeatedly shown that they are closer to the team in September, October, and November than they are in December and January.

I think this iteration of the Saints are much closer to winning than the previous, but do not confuse them with a winning team or one that is remotely close to a contender. There are massive holes still remaining on this team.

I just hope this stretch doesn’t fool the people, and more importantly, the organization that they are on the cusp. That line of thinking led to them starting this rebuild two years too late.

Got it. I’ll stop being excited. Thanks for the heads up.

Downvote.

This is your last ditch effort to be right? Classic. Keep hating until you can be right and bitch and moan.

One difference is the Saints are beating divisional opponents who are trying to make the playoffs.

The wins against Tampa Bay and Carolina were very good.

Team still lacks talent at 3 of the most important 5 positions, but they are headed in a better direction now than in September

I’m not saying to not be excited and optimistic. Hell, I said this the team of the last four to be most optimistic about.

There’s just no reason to make grand declarations about this team when they have repeatedly shown a trend and pattern over the last 4 years. If anything, you at least have somewhat of a foundation of players to start building around and a head coach who actually seems capable.

Hey smart Guy.

The sole nucleus of this team was no where near this franchise 4 yrs ago. Hell. Not 1 year ago.

This isn’t Dennis Allen bruh.

Look around. Watch the young players. Feel the damn vibe for Christ sake.

If you can’t tell the difference between these wins and the wins you provided as evidence, then there’s really nothing for us to discuss here.

Sooo many different factors at play here

There is absolutely no reason to not make grand declarations either. Because it makes no difference either way.

Trends over the last 4 years makes no difference when you are talking about 3 HCs and a multitude of different players

Take a hike Debbie Downer. There’s excitement about finding a franchise QB and head coach who looks like he could be special. Wins are not what people are excited about.

Just remember the teams we have beaten are division rivals hampered by the injury bug and other teams with sub .500 records.

Are we headed in the right direction? Yes, but teams need to ready on day one. The Saints looked like they were the Bad news Bears to start the season still learning packages and routes and matching key players. Also, injuries play a big part of shifting the roster so the team that is on the field in September may not be the same team in December. Then you have the free agents that come on to fill spots until the end of the season and move on to another team next year. Lastly, Kellen Moore having piss poor clock management early on definitely did not help either.

I know hindsight is 50/50 but if the Saints started Shough earlier in the season would we be more worried about draft positioning or if we were going to host a wildcard game.

let’s also acknowledge the saints are dealing with a ton of injuries, a lack of depth, and those divisional teams were playing must win games against us.

You’re so freaking dumb, homie. How do you not understand that a very young team is winning due to players developing and playing great? How does it allude you that this is a sign of growth and something to build on for next season? Are you truly this daft?

Nah. You just like bing the NegaTard of the ST, because muh we wasted a 2nd round pick on a geriatric cwatahback

We are not having to hope that Dennis Allen, Andy Dalton, and Derek Carr are turning the corner.

We spent a relatively high draft pick on what we thought could be a franchise QB. It’s looking like he could be that guy. This feels a little different in that there feels like there is more to this late run.
