It’s truly remarkable

The committee of lobbyists. Who knew they’d get it wrong?

Anything would be better than this.
Maybe the bottom four shouldn't be seeded, so we could at least create first round games that aren't rematches.
JMU at Ole Miss, Tulane at Oklahoma, Bama at Oregon.
Probably still blowouts in the first two instances but at least it isn't a dud we already saw a few months ago.

I pretty much just hate the G5 aspect. If we had Notre Dame vs Ole Miss in Oxford and Oregon vs Vanderbilt/Texas today, it would have been an awesome day of football. Instead we got two body bag games.

The ACC did this. Im ok with one G5. Especially when they beat a P4 conference champion. But the ACC fricked this all up by not putting miami in their CG. That would at least give us ND, BYU, or Texas instead of JMU

Exactly G5 schools should just all go die in a fire or at the very least shut down their football programs
The top 32 programs should break away from the NCAA and start their own college sports league. Its insulting that they share the same framework as these pathetic G5 schools
Imagine how awesome a 32 team super league would be. Every match up week in and week out is quality. No undeserving programs taking playoff spots

The heads of the socialist conferences/cartels.

We had the computers and everyone hated them, now we have this and now even more bitching.

This is actually the ACCs tiebreaker rules fault

I’m okay with a G5 in Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, etc. Football is a different animal. A G5 has a realistic shot to win in the right circumstances in all of those other sports but not football. They just don’t belong in a major CF playoff.

They had Condoleeza Rice making decisions not long ago. Shows how much they care

Just give them their own playoff that they realistically have a chance of winning. A G5 will never win a CFP championship. Ever.

The morons lacked the foresight of understanding there are only two legit conferences. They were living in the past when the big XII was an actual conference and the pac existed

Boise has had some legit teams. I just think the G5 needs to have qualifiers: like be undefeated and have at least one P4 win

Why so extreme??
This is the problem with solutions to problems in our society. There is a logical approach that could resolve these issues.

quote:. How about just being really frickin good. It ain’t that hard to tell how good teams are. If you beat the piss out of everyone on your schedule, you deserve a shot. Qualifiers like P4 wins, SOS, etc. just contribute more to the problem

Qualifiers
These are only needed bc the committee can't be trusted to do this

We see that every week in their rankings.
Autobids need to completely go away though. There are only 2 conferences good enough where their champ deserves an autobid every year. But with a 12 team playoff theres no way any B10 or SEC champ will ever get left out anyway. Just put the top 12 in regardless of conference championships. Qualifiers need to be ranked P4 wins to discourage ND type scheduling

They have to get all the conferences to agree so they gotta throw bones around
College football is a mess because you have so many independent entities.
Schools, conferences, networks, bowls, etc.

What's really bullshite is OM and Oregon get these cupcake tune up games and rest their starters in the 4th quarter like it's week 1 of the regular season while TTU and UGA have a super long layoff and are gonna come out rusty in the first half just like last year. We're rewarding #5 and #6 way too much

May this game end up 70-3 or bad enough to where this kind of matchup never happens again
