I want to get into Hockey, but I ain't pulling for a Dallas team. I guess I could hop on the Avalanche bandwagon.

This. And the league doesn’t need any more teams period, the talent is diluted enough as it is

Yet its been the southern/Sun Belt teams dominating the NHL pretty much the entire decade

Outside of Colorado in '22, Sun Belt/Southern teams have won every cup since 20. Tampa in 20 and '21, Vegas in '23 and Florida the last two years.

No and we don't need one.

Hockey is not meant to be played in climates with 80-degree January days.

Amazing what the Florida Panthers have accomplished with that climate outside the walls of their indoor arena.

Way back in the day, Houston had a hockey team that had one of the great families in Hockey playing for them.
I lived there then and people had the pro football, the pro baseball and the pro basketball teams. And back then the drive into the downtown within the loop stadiums was miserable (roads were not as wide as today, and there weren't as many pay freeways (sic).
The interest in that additional sport just wasn't there.

Be prepared to to have your heart broken by that Dallas team.

The Avs can’t get by the Stars in the playoffs.

This would be a good year for it.

We're winning Lord Stanley's Cup this year. No two ways about it.
