Frank on his way out while Blake just passed on a HC gig to stick around.

Why in the frick would you not give him this opportunity to lead the team? There is no risk, only reward here.

Never thought of that, but that sounds like a whole lot better than Frank coaching if he’s ultimately gonna be leaving. I will allow it.

Frank is leaving because we don’t have a RB coach spot for him. You guys need to chill and stop acting so insecure. He is leaving because he was being demoted. He’s going to a familiar, comfortable place. It’s not personal.

Legit question, why would Baker even want the responsibility of becoming the head coach on short notice for a meaningless bowl game without a full roster?

I don't claim to know anything about Frank. The few times I've heard him speak, I feel he genuinely cares for LSU & the athletes. Best of success to him. Hope he gets a win on his way out, then LSU can kick his arse every time they cross paths.

It would be great and deserving but would never happen

He might not want to, it’s not his job. Clearly, your performance as an interim coach matters and may not want that exposure

I’ll maintain my view that LSU fans have shown an embarrassing lack of appreciation for the soft landing Frank has helped achieve. We don’t really owe him anything but support until he moves on and can’t even do that. Pathetic.

Right. The popular opinion is that OM sucks for not letting Lane Coach but we should have ran Frank off the second it looked like Lane would replace him.

That’s ignoring that some of these idiots are bitter that the RB coach that they didn’t even want dares to go to OM…

It doesn't have to be personal...

Frank was given the interim title and finished out the regular season. That's great (it really is).
We now have a head coach, don't need an interim. Frank is no longer with the program going forward, he's going to Ole Miss. What we need are people capable of calling the plays, we have Atkins as acting OC who should know the offense, and Baker as the continuing DC. Kiffin could in theory call the game (he's not going to be with Ole Miss anyway), using generic "short outside pass to TE", "offtackle run to the strong side", etc. Atkins can translate that to a play. *That's kinda what Ensminger and Baker did in 2019*.
I bet you Kiffin could get the team into a rhythm, and if nothing else it would probably greatly aid in retention and drum up some interest.

Just an idea.
