Kevin Smith is from Miami.. Maybe we can open up some pipelines in south florida

Can anyone research?How good of a recruiter he is?
It looks like he knows what he's doing i didn't know he rushed for over two thousand yards in one season top ten all time

He did get TreVonte' Citizen to Miami. Hes at Mcneese now but wouldnt be a bad depth piece to add to the RB room which we are light on

He’s really good at building relationships with defensive players. That’s the most important thing.

His list doesn't have the same name power that Frank's does, but he's pulled some diamond in the rough's - Quinshon Judkins being the biggest one. LA seems to always have less heralded RBs that pop off at other schools so I'm excited to see what he can do here.
As far as South Florida, they make up about half of his list

2026 Recruiter rankings: #1 is Frank, Kevin Smith is #171 ... obviously he's a better RB coach than a recruiter. Travontae Citizen is the highest rated player he's ever recruited (2022). ... # 11 recruit in LA, #8 RB in country, and #108 overall National recruit as a 4-star

It’s not an apples to apples comparison. One is a RB coach and another is a RB coach that was in charge of recruiting. One that recruited at all positions. One that also didn’t have a single commit at his own position that is razor thin.
