Have a family member that is about to enter rehab for substance abuse and gambling. Anyone have any recs for a book or books I could get them to read while they are there?

Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions by Russell Brand is awesome in my opinion

We call it the big book, they should be given one while they are there, it's the manual.

City Of Joy, by Dominique Lapierre. Not about addiction, but about people overcoming the worst of situations in the worst place in the world. Very inspiring.

I found The Dragons of Eden to be a very interesting examination of the way our brains work.

Never been to rehab myself, but I’d get a copy of Man’s Search for Meaning if I did.
