My bad if it’s already been posted but I looked and didn’t see. There was a shooting in Greenleaves estates last night. Literally across the street from the house I grew up, where my parents still live.

Apparently the boyfriend came over and got in a fight with his girl and was stabbing her on the front lawn when a neighbor came out and shot him. So I guess not “murder”.

We live near there but didn't see or hear it. They've already released the guy's name who got shot and said it was a domestic incident, so I bet everything you posted is accurate

Not exactly a murder from what I heard. Husband was strangling his wife in front yard at 2:00 am. A neighbor shot the husband to rescue her.

It wasn't self defense so I don't know if the neighbor will be charged or not.

Something similar happened in an apartment building next to me when I was at LSU. Big arse rifle in the grass by my on street mailbox.

Defense of others that you are concerned are in danger of serious harm or losing their life is protected by Louisiana’s self defense laws. If you think someone is trying to seriously harm or murder someone, you are absolutely allowed to use deadly force to stop that threat.

I dunno both were domestic violence events which is much different than gangs or drug violence. It’s still awful though

We’ve been battlling these 1-2 homicides/yr with the off chance of a suicidal meth head from the landmass on his way to Livingston who couldn’t bear the thought of I-12 through Tangi and ends it after rubbing one out in Target’s parking lot.

Trump is gonna have to activate the Guard soon for St. Tammany.
