same

these shows usually tend to fall apart in S3. . .so I am hopeful for this season

Would I enjoy this series while knowing absolutely nothing about the game?

Yes you would, even my in-laws enjoyed it and they're in their 70s.

I think yes. I was pretty much only aware that the game existed and was post-apocalyptic in nature, and I thought it was fun and entertaining. I’m sure game players pick up on some Easter eggs that went over my head, but the world-building is pretty well developed in show.

Yes, definitely. Probably the best television series of 2024, in my book.

It's much more an "inspired by", not some kind of straight telling of the events in the games.

Would actually be an asset, if I am being honest.

If you are an old school FO fan, you will find a host of nonsense. I am able to tune that stuff out and enjoy it as a parallel universe of sorts

I think if I knew nothing of the series I would have enjoyed S1 more.

I did enjoy it, though

It is mostly accurate to game lore. Definitely not some parallel universe.

I am video game adjacent and know next to nothing about this and it was my favorite series other than Shogun last year.

I can lean into the weird though. You have to like a little weird.

Season 1 showed that it's possible to make a great show when the showrunners actually like the source material.

This is a nice surprise. For some reason I thought it would be next year.

Also just saw it will be a weekly release rather than a binge release like they did with Season 1.

I have a love/hate relationship with the weekly release. I love the time to ponder what is going on and discuss, but damn I am impatient and hate waiting at the same time. WEP is conflicted.

Nice. The tigerdroppings user in me likes the weekly release with good shows just so I can chat about each episode. Don't really care if they drop all the episodes at once for a mediocre show, but I like the buildup when the show is good.
