How can a Catholic or a Jew be a Democrat?

I don't understand this at all, the basic beliefs of these religions are directly attacked by the Dems, they publicly denounce both groups. Catholics, and actually all Christians are targeted especially for being opposed to abortion, the Dems are at the forefront of anti-sematic violence.

I can't speak for Jews but being Catholic prohibits you from being a member of the church. So most of the Bishops and Cardinals should be excommunicated!

It has to be more than what he said though.

For most people, religion has no bearing on their politics, whether they go to church/Mass on Sunday or not.

Rush explained it well. They are liberals first. That is their true religion. Only Jews or Catholics when it it convenient.
