So much for the whole "taking out a full-page ad in the local newspaper" move. Future-former Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall and his wife Ginny have put their money where their mouths are, as on Monday they announced a $100,000 donation to the Green Wave Talent Fund.

The donation will give new Green Wave head coach Will Hall a head start on building upon Sumrall's success.

"Tulane University and New Orleans are special to me and my family," said Sumrall. "Ginny and I are honored to support the Green Wave Talent Fund because we believe in the vision of Tulane Athletics and want to contribute to the continued success of its student-athletes. The future is incredibly bright, and we are excited for Will Hall and his family to be part of it."

Pretty cool move.

For those talking shite about his $100k gift—I am interested to hear about how much you donated to the staff at your former employer when you left for a new one.

I swear some of you are fricking retarded children. A $2,500 gift to this fund is deemed their highest level of donor status—“Royalty”

A $50k gift to Tulane Football will get your name on the stadium donor list.

100k doesn’t even get one player for a power 4 team. He will take more than that with him to Florida. It’s nice of him, but it’s still something to have a chuckle at

No need to get up in arms about people just clearly goofing around with it

Tulane is a G5 turd, not a power 4.

They raised $4 million of unrestricted funds last year, but according to Pride, one donation of 2.5% of their entire fundraising doesn’t matter

Factually false, which for someone who brokers NIL deals like you do that is embarrassing

That is a great gesture. Shows his character.

Also this thread is showing the character of quite a few posters that they are assholes.

That’s because at times, pride can be a pretentious douchebag that thinks he knows everything
