Was curious based on his recent appearances on Landman. He always plays the rough and tough blue collar kinda guy. But I’ve read he openly supports the democrats.
Just kinda funny based on some of the lines he’s had to say or listen to on set.
But I guess money talks regardless.

I had heard that he was a lefty. But he seems to be a quiet one.

He’s from Portland and an actor so I always assumed.
He actually bashed “wokeism” last election but still endorsed Harris.

Not too quiet. He has said some super liberal crap in the past.

He knows what he has to do to keep getting roles.

You cannot have a career in entertainment and be openly Republican.
And You can probably extend that to mandatory support of leftists causes.

90-95% of the entertainment industry are democrats.

There were clues.
Sam Elliott narrates salty ad for Kamala Harris: ‘Time to be a man and vote for a woman’
Sam Elliott narrates salty ad for Kamala Harris: ‘Time to be a man and vote for a woman’
quote:
In the video, Elliott says, “I can’t believe we’re having this conversation again. So here we go. You know who the candidates are. You know what’s at stake. One candidate promises a divided America, filled with lies and hate. And one stands for change. Kamala Harris has more courage, more honor, more guts, than this guy ever had,” as images of Trump play in black and white.

Jimmy Buffett hosted a fund raising dinner for Hillary, I don’t share his politics but loved his music. His work & politics didn’t intersect.
RIP Bubba’

He was born in California and raised in Oregon, yet talks like he’s from Texas with his drawl.

His entire schtick is this. He plays the same character in every movie

He was in an ad supporting Kamala. He is also former military. I went down a rabbit hole a while back looking into actors that were prior military. It doesn't seem as common as it once was.

No. I've been aware of his freako liberalism for over thirty years.
Just because he's been associated with playing cowboy roles, folks are apt to think he might be a conservative. And it's not an unreasonable assumption, because in the past, probably 95% of the stars of old westerns (Clint Walker, Roy Rogers, Robert Fuller, Chuck Connors, etc., etc.) were indeed staunch conservatives..

Who gives a shite about the political opinions of an actor? Typically a very low IQ profession
