Japanese Universities Play Football

If tweet fails to load, click here. They actually beat the US in the Amateur Football World Cup a few years back. Of course our team was division 3 and academy players, but it'd be nice to see the sport be world wide and a competitive tournament in the future. But it's definitely a first world sport.

I don't know, if it's strictly high school national teams, the Samoans, Kiwis, Canadians and Aussies could probably hang for a bit.

I was really referring to Japanese specifically, but oh yeah, if it truly goes internation I think the Aussies would be EXTREMELY dangerous. Them and the Samoans. Samoans really just based off physicality.

Yeah, Japanese are top tier when it comes to taking other cultures specialties and refining them.

Any country with a rugby culture could put together a good team. Fiji scare me too. It would take decades, but we've seen what happened with basketball. We still win based on population and talent pool alone, but I would watch.

I’ve been to baseball games in both Japan and Korea and it’s lit. Stands are full and the crowd is engaged. They even have special chants for certain situations and innings.
