More iconic James Spader TV role? Alan Shore or Raymond Reddington?

YouTube feed flooded with shorts of him in both roles and he is phenomenal in both. My lean is to Shore as him acting as a foil to Shatner (Denny Crane) gave him a lot to work with.

definitely Alan Shore for me; I like Spader a lot but his chemistry with Shatner is fun to watch.
I liked Blacklist for a while and put up with it longer than I should have because of his involvement but it became unwatchable late in the series for me

Dude definitely aged to the point he's barely recognizable from his youthful 80's persona, but in a good way. Hell of an actor.

He was great in Both. I think he had more to work with and more dialog in Boston Legal. Always nailed it.
Red is great but the show itself outlived its welcome. I think I quit around season 6.
Alan Shore was great in both The Practice and Boston Legal.
Oh, since I mentioned The Practice, how were they broke after winning so many multi-million dollar cases? Did they have to repay the money because Lindsey kept violating the non disclosure agreements telling everyone they beat big tobacco?
