Are you rooting for Chambliss to get his waiver and transfer, or are you more excited for the mystery box (Leavitt et al)?

Chambliss in a second year with Lane would likely only benefit the offense. Still need another option just in case. I don’t think you keep MVB

I've decided whatever Lane says I'm good with.

Sure you keep him, if he is ok with learning as a back up. Even if MVB stays, you still need 2 QBs in the portal, assuming Hurley is gone too.

Trinidad Chambliss AND Door #2" with Drew Mestemaker of North Texas inside. Why not both?

Personally I'd favor the mystery box. I worry Chambliss is more a product of Lane's offense as opposed to a talent that could elevate it. That said, I didn't watch a lot of Ole Miss this year.

Chambliss

The defense will have continuity and anything we can get on offense that has continuity with Lane and his system is a major bonus

He had a Med RS year. When was the last time someone didn't get another year. He will get it

Boy do i have some great news for you. Lane is now coaching at LSU, thus getting Chambliss would mean he could continue being a product of Lane's offense here.

I'm not even sure Chambliss has reached his full potential yet. He could be the Heisman trophy winner next year with Lane and Weis again.

With that said, I'm not sure how long you wait on the ruling and his decision. I would hope they have a very good idea of how it plays out, and a secondary plan in place. Seems like a very tricky situation.

I'd try to keep Van Buren, regardless. I think he fits well with what Lane and Weis like to do, even if he's the QB2/emergency guy.

Kiffin has a proven track record of being able to get his guy at QB through the portal. I’m good with whoever he takes.

Junior year at Ferris St 2915 yards 26 TDs 1015 yards rushing 25 TDs. Pretty sure he's a product of his own talent. Lane and Weis understood that and placed him in a system that is condusive to talented QBs flourishing. I mean the guy averaged 300 passing yards a game in the games he started at Ole Miss at over 9 yards an attempt. Even playing UGA and Oklahoma back to back on the road didn't rattle him. Although his cmp% was lower in both of those games, he still ran well (21 carries 95 yards 2 TDs combined), and threw well (263 and 315 with 1 TD each and no ints).
