Some of them will attribute it to Joe Biden and the rest of them will say that the president cannot affect the price of gasoline. Why? Because they're fricking retarded.

Trump could drive gas prices all the way down to zero and they would still hate him.

$2.65 in Fort Lauderdale yesterday. Lowest I've seen in a long time.

I last bought gas at 2.39 a gallon. Much lower than the Biden price.

Probaly, but people need to understand, the president has little to no influence on fuel prices.

I saw low-$2s in Asheville yesterday.
Eggs were under $2. Prices are definitely a lot lower than a year ago.

I was told that prices never come down and that if the cost of goods drops then greedy corporations just take the profits while gouging the consumers!

If predictions are right prices will keep falling and oil is about to tank. That always makes for interesting times around TD.

Yeah, nothing Biden did or said affected gas prices. That’s why gas was $5 then and is $2.30 now, all by chance.

Right. The POTUS can do a lot to affect the gas prices. This should be obvious to everyone. And it is evidenced by how during Trump's first term I watched gas fall to its lowest price since I began driving in 1996.

What specifically did Trump do to lower prices in either of his terms?

Maybe when it comes to short-term fluctuations and normal market volatility but POTUS administrations do influence the long term prices of all domestic energy markets. A President that removes policies that unduly burden domestic energy production or tip the scales to favor "clean" energy can certainly affect fuel prices to a degree.

To begin with he rolled back over 90 environmental regulations which opened up MILLIONS of acres of land for drilling. This led to the US becoming an oil exporter for the first time in decades.

He also approved the Dakota Access and Keystone XL pipelines via executive actions allowing oil from up north to make it to the refineries quickly and at no transportation cost.

He pressured Saudi Arabia and Russia to deescalate an oil price war which stabilized the price of oil at around 50 bucks per barrel.

To name a few.

Right. The people who don't think the POTUS can affect fuel prices have been brainwashed by the media and clearly don't think things through.

Even the price of diesel is way down. Filled my truck earlier this week and it was $3.20 a gallon here in Missouri
