Would our roadways be a better place without drivers of Ford Focus' and the like?

Kia Sorrento's, Buick Encore's, Nissan Sentra, Aka your basic Low T, lib vehicle.
Saw 3-4 near misses from drivers of these soy mobiles on the way to work this morning. Mostly due to them cruising in the left lane, then needing to get over last minute, and assuming a blinker gives them the automatic right away to get over.
Also have issues with drivers of the like trying to merge on the interstate at 50mph.
Never seem to have problems with the baws in F150's and Chevy Tahoes. They always do 80-85 and keep traffic moving

First snow of the year, ditches are littered with F-150s.

And then they try to park and all hell breaks loose. At least before the 360 cameras came into play.

I think the charges, challengers, altimas and impalas are a bigger problem

Cheap cars aren't the problem IMO. If they didn't exist those drivers would migrate to something else and cause issues there.
We have other issues in Louisiana. LADOTD is very bloated and we need to restructure them. We spend too much in salaries and not enough on asphalt, lighting, and paint.
Another big observation, especially on east/west routes: Heavy trucks are maybe 20-30% of I-10 and I-20 traffic; they each consume significantly more capacity than a typical car, both because of size and their slower acceleration, governed top speeds, and longer lane changes. Doesn't matter if the driver is a rockstar or not. The constraint is caused by the giant vehicle. So a huge boost would be to restrict trucks to the right hand lane or right two lanes if the highway is 6 lanes or wider.

Pickup truck drivers cause the most accidents on the I-12 corridor.
