Because Wilson was given a HC job and fired because he couldn't win. Then he was immediately given another HC job and fired for the same reason. He is a hell of a recruiter let him use his talents where they are useful but not a head coach!

He was already on the staff and the only one with HC experienced. It’s not like he was hired as HC.
