If you turn down a bowl you dont get to keep practicing right?

Seems like coaches would want as much practice as possible

NCAA is toothless now

If I were ND, I'd practice anyway.

I'm glad this happened to Notre Dame, join a conference. They load up on cupcakes and lose their tough games then cry like the priest molested him.

Doesn't matter with NIL mercenaries when 90% of your team will be new players next year

Extra practices mattered when you didn't have massive roster turnover every season with players who would rather play the Price is Right looking for their next NIL bag

You gonna let a group of white guys sitting around a conference table to tell you you can’t run around and wrestle with some dudes?

Even if true it couldn't hurt to get younger/back ups more practice time.

I know college is different than high schools- but the extra practices every year create dynasties in HS

10 practices in December mean literally nothing by the next August given how much the roster changes year to year

Bowl prep and spring ball is when Iowa develops most of their projects. It’s a critical component of any program, don’t care how many transfers you can get, gotta have some guys that bleed that shite daily for 3-5 years

This post is totally inappropriate and I strongly object.

The truth is I never cried.

Extra practices matter when you can give the guys who might transfer more time and reps to convince them how much they’ll be relied on next season so they don’t enter the portal.

I don’t see the wisdom in not doing that out of fear that it’s one more showcase to invite poaching. Can’t play scared. Fight with confidence rather than fear.

Yeah it makes no sense. Letting the players vote on it is retarded. If anyone should be voting on it it should be members of the school’s booster club not the kids there for a few bucks. Hell, I’d fine the kids who vote to skip the game. If they sit out, pull their scholarship too.
