No playoffs next year, is he fired? Would we need to worry?

Hopefully enough negative publicity to last Kiffin awhile and keep him here past DeBoer being in trouble in Gumpland.
Besides, it’s just as easy to win here as Bama

70 million dollar buyout . Lol

Bama is probably not a better job than LSU at this stage regardless of the amount of title they won in the 2000s. There wasn't anything about Alabama that made them better than anywhere else other than Saban being the GOAT.
Kiffin can achieve anything he wants here

This. Bama is in a slow slide since Saban left. That was 90% Saban, 10% location....he would have won as many if not more NCs here if he had stayed, and he knows that and has basically said as much. LSU has always been a sleeping giant...they just couldn't stop stepping on their own dicks. Verge seems to be the one that will do what it takes and hire the coach that LSU needs and get out of the way. That's what has been needed for a long time. We've been the victim of coaching hires for a while, yet, even though those coaches weren't great, they still managed to win a national championship. The right coach could win 4 or 5 in 10 years.... Kiffin seems to have the energy and desire to do something like that. Hope that's the case.

Deboer is going to need a good five years to get his system going. I really hope that the Bama head honchos understand that.

I hope he wins just enough to not get fired, but not enough to matter. I want him to be Bamas version of Ron Zook.

The system has changed. Saban recruited and coached under a different set of rules. He saw that his style of coaching, discipline, and accountability wasn’t compatible with NIL and transfer rules and got out on top.
DeBoer has the impossible task of meeting Saban like expectations. All of that makes Bama a hard sell moving forward. Hell, It was a hard sell post Bear.

Agree. Give him an extension.

And they despise him
He is highly unlikely to ever coach there

Might miss this year. And that could be it.

Kiffin will never coach a game at LSU. He'll be at Bama by February 1st.

Then give Baker the job and spend Kiffin's buyout on NIL like a drunken sailor.
