Dude came here because we needed him. He is well respected by every serious football person and he if very technically sound in his coaching. All his teammates respected him and if he decided to be a coach he could be a coach anywhere.

I believe it’s his decision to leave so we should respect that. But dude is an absolute awesome, person, leader, and coach. Hope he enjoys what ever he decides to do next!

Not really. The DL coach needs to be your stud recruiter and he wasn’t getting it done.

I appreciate him for filling in for a year, but I'm excited to get E-Rob. He's pretty much unanimously considered to be a top 5 DL coach in CFB

Are you dumb?

How was he not “getting it done”? He came in last minute due to Davis leaving. And the recruits this year were recruited by him….

Did you see the guys we signed? They were committed before coaching changes.

Kyle did a great job. Pumped for Robinson but Kyle answered the call for his Alma mater and did very well.

No they weren’t. Anderson and Brown were coming here with or without him.

If he was any good, he wouldn’t have been replaced

Some of you have a pathological need to be perceived as right.

Moscona (take it FWIW) has heavily hinted that Williams isn't necessarily thriving in Baton Rouge and might not have wanted to continue at this level, with or without a coaching change. I think he's taking his family back to Ruston.

A. He doesn't need the money, and

2. His quality of life is probably 100x better as a high school coach in his literal hometown than in the hustle and bustle of the SEC, 80+ hour workweeks, having to live in Baton Rouge, etc.

Just my 2 cents and probably not worth that.

(ETA: For the record, I think he did a great job with it being his first college coaching stint. I would vote to retain if it was up for such a vote.)

He wasn’t replaced. He wants to fish and spend time with his family.

Dude probably wants to be duck hunting, deer hunting, and playing golf right now.

He made it in the NFL. It’s one thing to assistant coach a HS team in your home community, it’s a different level of time commitment to deal with recruiting and college kids and coach at the college level.

Maybe he wants to raise his kids and enjoy his life.

He wanted to go back to Ruston, play golf, and enjoy the millions of dollars he earned.

He never applied to be DL coach at LSU.

Luv me some Kyle Williams. IMO, if he wanted to continue coaching, he would become the top DL coach in all of CFB.

Some people really are clueless. He was wanted by Lane. But he wants to have more time to watch his kids play sports and he wants to play golf. Basically living the life of a retired NFL player. He's an alumni that helped his team when they needed him but decided coaching college kids wasn't what he wanted to do.

Elijah is a much better coach and recruiter. There’s nothing to miss.
