Border Patrol arrests 15 at Port of Lake Charles. How are illegals getting into a port?

Federal officials arrested 15 people this week at the Port of Lake Charles, authorities said.
On Dec. 3, USBP agents collaborated with federal, state, and local partners to “apprehend 15 illegal aliens,” a Facebook post from USBP New Orleans read.
We reached out to the Port of Lake Charles, which confirmed that USBP conducted operations at the port’s City Docks facilities.
“(The operations) involved some contractors and tenants at Port facilities, but did not involve Port employees,” Port of Lake Charles Executive Director Richert Self said in a statement.

I did a lot of repairs at the Port of LC after Hurricane Rita and all of my guys were checked at the gate every day. Of course, that was years ago so I am not sure what their procedures are now but illegals accessing a port should be a major concern and Lake Charles should face some consequences for allowing it even if it was subcontractors.

The article states it wasn't Port employees. Must have been contractors.
Fake TWIC cards and fake SS cards are a thing.

You'd think twic cards would address issue?
Are their any non-twic areas?
I've been on sites w TWIC and Non TWIC areas.

Man, I heard it was more than that. I was working there when ICE showed up all at once including two boats in the water. They grouped everyone together, and we had to show them our TWIC or any other ID we carried.
They nabbed 6 from our little area. All were Cajun industries construction workers building the new dock warehouse.

The amount of bullshite you have to go through to get a TWIC makes this even more insane. Background checks, fingerprints, proof of citizenship, etc.
Can foreign nationals even get TWIC if they’re here legally?

You can escort people in the port. I escorted a guy from our company who didn’t have his TWIC, but the guy still had to show his driver’s license to the port authority. The administrator took my TWIC, his ID to the back, and I guess did a background check before they said we were good to continue through the gates.
I don’t know how illegals could get through there?

Why don't these motherfrickers just pass/make e-verify for every business in America.

I talked to one of the guys that morning at the port admin building that ICE later apprehended. We were discussing how cold it was going to be. I recognized him based off the sweatshirt he was wearing in the photo ICE posted.

Yea that's what I am saying. Someone had to look the other way or something.
When I did contract work there, TWIC wasn't needed. That was in 2006-07 but they still checked people in daily. TWIC seems like it would make the process even more foolproof.

I hope they’re looking into Cajun Industries because that’s where they came from. Cajun would definitely know something.

Cajun should be fined and LC should ban them from doing any work on Parish and city projects including the port.

Sharing TWIC and badge. Thats how they get in.

Based off some writing I saw on the concrete pillars, they were from Nicaragua.
I heard ICE had to chase and tackle one of them who was trying to escape, and this wasn’t the first time ICE has raided the port. I heard someone tipped them off the first time they came (I wasn’t working out there) because several of them apparently didn’t show up that day.
The following was also spoken to me. They also laid low this past on Monday because word was ICE were coming. When ICE didn’t show up Monday, they thought it was a false alarm and came back Tuesday and Wednesday. Then the raid came Wednesday mid-morning.

$1 Trillion wasted on 'homeland security' after 9-11 was the second biggest fraud of all time after Covid.
Silly little TIWIC cards and 'biometric TWIC card readers' that probably do not exist or don't work to this day.
After 9-11 they had people take a half day off work to shuffle down to an abandoned Albertson's that they set up as a 'TWIC processing station.'
A bunch of people that should have been working all sitting around in kids sized folding chairs staring at each other waiting for some government contractor coon-finger a keyboard.
What a waste of time and money. And shout out to the retard grifters that came up with the idea that yet another ID card / background check would do anything.
Look at us now.

You can get many kinds of ID’s in Mexican border towns.

Used to know a guy that worked at the Port for the boarder patrol. He said their biggest issue was people coming in on ships and leaving and never coming back. Some would even jump off the ship and swim and they would apprehend them. This was 10 years ago but I’d imagine all of the foreign ships are still a problem. I was on a flight with 4 guys from Qutar this week. I racked my brain on where in LC these guys were going.

Have seen this a couple times too.
Typically happens with 'cadets' and people in a 'training program.'
As soon as they allowed off the boat they disappear into the ether, never to be see or heard from again.
