What differentiates this strike from the same "everything in the toolbox-take out the power grid" strike they do every year when it starts getting cold?

Simple attrition, Ukraine just lacks the manpower now, and they are abandoning at an alarming rate. Plus from an equipment standpoint there is no telling how much never reached there. This latest embezzlement was money for weapons to defend cities that was never bought.
From a power grid standpoint, its been degraded, and not repaired, before this lastest spat of assaults so its in the worse condition ever. Without power there is no water, sewage, OR heating.
To the point of another poster, I think ukranians are sick of freezing their arse off while listening on a battery radio about zelensky in 5 star hotels having tea and crumpets, while his wife shops in Paris before a weekend jaunt to their vineyard in Italy bought with the money that was supposed to purchase missiles for the Patriot system protecting their families. They are gonna Mussolini his arse soon.
