Looks interesting and want to give it a shot. I'm sure quite a few have seen it and curious of others thoughts and opinions of the series. TIA.

A mentally unstable CIA agent keeps her job and is assigned cases involving national security.

I could only take that premise so far and stopped watching early in the run.

Its first season is apex TV, but nothing comes close thereafter.

Opening sex scene first show is pretty damn strong.

Brody’s family sucked

First season is the best and the next 2 are pretty good but season 4 and 5 are dog shite and then it somehow managed to rebound and finish strong the rest of the way. Not sure I’ve ever seen a show dip in quality so much but rebound so strongly. I guess the new Dexter Resurrection is the closest thing to it.

This. It has its moments over the next 2-3 seasons, but just gets stale.

I’ve restarted it a couple times over the years and can never finish it.

I loved Homeland. But Claire Danes doesn’t annoy me like she does some people.

When it’s good, it’s really good. When it’s bad, it’s breathtakingly terrible. Finished pretty strong IIRC

Nice work.

Dude you're a Movie/TV Board OG and haven't seen Homeland? It's only been around for FIFTEEN YEARS.

SPOILER ALERT:

Did you not know Darth Vader was Luke's father too?

It a good watch, I binged it about 2 years ago. Claire Danes is the only woman who has sex and always leaves her bra on.

I’ve never seen it. I’ve heard good and bad things but it was never something I was interested in watching. So it doesn’t spoil anything for me. I just think it’s funny how many times there’s a thread like this where the OP hasn’t seen something and is asking if it’s good, and then some a-hole posts spoiler type shite.

I do because I’ve seen the movie. But if I started a thread and was like “Never seen the Star Wars movies and am watching them for the first time this weekend, am I in for good things?” and you posted “wait until you find out DV is Luke’s father!” then yeah I’d be pretty pissed.

The show is better if you skip the several episodes in every later season used to convince Danes to get back on her lithium to stop her manic episodes.

The best seasons are when she's in The Middle East. The worst is when she's in DC.

The best characters are Peter Quinn, Saul Berenson, Max Piotrowski, Bunny Latif, Astrid, Haissam Haqqani, Aasar Khan, David Estes and Yevgeny Gromov.

The girl who played Dana was absolutely a terrible actress.

SPOILER:

I like how they eventually just wrote the whole family out of the show like they never existed
