Was just coming to post that. Signed about half the number of players as others (which helps with the avg rating), but I prefer quality over quantity.

Yep every class ahead of us has like double total recruits
If we had around the same amount we’d be top 3

I’m an emotional dude sometimes, buts it’s literally for no other reason than me just wanting LSU to be as good as we know they can be

Likewise Wolfcola. This quality of this class is just better than we signed during the Kelly era. Makes me think that having a proven quality coach and with LSU's fertile base can only get better. If we could have gotten a couple of more OL dudes would have been nasty really. Still

All the people stroking USC saying they are back because of this number 1 class never mentions they had to take 35 kids to get it. There's zero chance 20 of them are still there in two years. Great class but that narrative needs to stop.

And look at the three stars. 3 of the 4 typical underevaluated LA kids who are expected to be much better than their ratings - happens every year. I will gladly take repeats of Jefferson, Nabors, Claiborne, etc. Honestly don’t know much about the Miami lineman but I trust Lane’s opinion of him to go so far as to flip him from Ole Miss

Just doing the math, about 50% of them would only ever be backups at best. That's fine if you only have 39 players on your roster, but if you have a full roster or have been at that school for 4 years, 35 signers should raise a huge red flag.
Lincoln Riley shouldn't be signing a 35 player class for year 5 at USC. Something hasn't been or won't be going right there.
