Can yall at least do some research first to see if the guy is even eligible? He’s a senior. He is the furthest thing from our best bet for QB next year

It may depend on what happens with Weiss Jr. He was reported as the one who recommended looking at Chambliss as a backup option.
Supposedly he was looking at G5 jobs, but the best will be filled by the time the playoffs end, so he may have to wait a year.

Weiss Jr will be LSUs OC next year unless someone wants to buy out his contract he just signed with LSU

It’s not even a 6th year. This is only his 4th year in college. It’s to get a redshirt for his freshman year when he played only 2 games. Apparently DII only allowed redshirts for players who didn’t play at all at the time. They have since changed the rule to mirror DI, but only for freshmen. It sounds like he has pretty strong grounds for another year of eligibility.

Oof. Maybe you should do some research. He’s not guaranteed to get an extra year but I’m hearing odds are pretty good.

Even if he wanted to follow Lane to LSU, you can't put all your eggs into that basket without having the answer if he will be cleared, or not. We are going to need to bring in another QB
