Not true. He is DC in the NFL he can announce he is leaving and finish coaching without issue.

our DC makes over two million per. LSU will not have to pay him if he takes new job. Money is freed to double Sheppard salary. I like the idea.

Sounds appealing...hmm. Kinda like the guy at Texas Tech though but thia is definitely something they should look into.

Probably making a lot more than that or will be offered a lot more than that. Coordinator salaries have skyrocketed at the NFL level the last decade. Some are making 2-6 mil. Chip Kelly was making 6 mil

There’s still some lagging info you’ll see that still claim they are making scraps

yeah, their defense seems to be struggling lately. i think they were doing well early on.

NFL defensive coordinator to college defensive coordinator is not a lateral move. It’s a downgrade

We would we triple that for a first time DC who isn’t doing THAT well with a talented team? They’re not great vs the pass, top 3rd against the run, and middle of the road in yardage and points.

Maybe have the guy have some real success doing anything coordinator related before we pay him top dollar simply for playing at lsu in the past.
