Don’t care, modern farming wouldn’t be possible without glyphosate

They paid off scientific journal reviewers to disregard carcinogenic properties of their product for profit motives.
You can't get more evil than that.

Damn, I’ve used that stuff in my garden; on the advice of a good friend who is well educated and dedicated to his craft. And loves the landscape. Maybe AI will tell the whole truth.

There's a couple farming podcasts you should watch.

This is either idiocy or ignorance at it's absolute finest.

I don't think the issue is so much us spraying our weeds in the driveway. But, I think it's dumped on most of our crops. Some physicians told me this guy is off base, but this scared the crap out of me at one point.

All that to say, the testing and standards are not trivial.
By far the most egregious perpetrators of using pesticides incorrectly (especially herbicides) which results in everything from plant tolerance to going off label and over applying which results in runoff and overloading of the environment with too much chemical, is the American homeowner.

Uh...I mean sure, using the word "incorrectly" (whatever that means in this context...) can place the blame on a homeowner.
That's if you ignore the fact that US homeowners only account for ~2% of the glyphosate used in the US. The other >97% is used in commercial farming; and that's at a significantly higher concentration that what your neighbor is buying at Home Depot.
The homeowner spraying their driveway is not the problem here.

Not sure your point here. I have an active RoW license in a few states as well. I don't have an applicable degree

You could try by putting a career chemical company lobbyist in charge of the EPA's chemical division and by introducing a bill that would forbid the EPA from using the only independent research group/department in our government to inform guidelines and issue policy.

This is true. American homeowners spray many times more gallons per acre of chemicals than Ag/farmers, and they very often fail to read and understand labels or how the chemicals they apply interact with other different chemicals they may use. It is a big problem.

And on the other side you potentially have rich trial lawyers (along with their clients/alleged victims, and hippy activist groups, bullying the Journal to bolster their cases by discrediting the paper. A lot of money at stake on both sides.

This. Also a HUGE issue in the industry I work for, which is pest control related. Non-herbicide. Off-label and illegal usage of product, not in accordance with the labels, by private homeowners and property owners is the bane of our existence right now. Then the problems that has created are exaggerated and jumped on by the PETA and enviro activists who think all chemicals should be eliminated.

I really DGAF. Weeds need to be killed dead. My life is going to be six months shorter than usual after trying 15 different products that don't work as well anyway.
