Per the ESPN article reference elsewhere on this board.

That’s why Lane didn’t want to answer the question, because they didn’t fire their coach.

Joe Ignatius, an Ole Miss baseball player from 1992 to 1996, watched in disbelief as Kiffin and his assistants left Oxford like diplomats fleeing a foreign country. "I feel naive thinking it wouldn't happen to us," Ignatius said. "It just didn't have to go this way. It could have been six great years going your way, thanks for what you did. But leopards don't change their spots. And I got fooled, so not what I expected." Igantius said he felt the worst for his son, Bodacious, an eight-grader, who grew to love the Ole Miss football team.

Look, dude, you don’t need to feel bad for your son because Lane Kiffin isn’t the coach at Ole Miss anymore.

You need to feel bad for your son because you named him “Bodacious Ignatius.”

Interesting because Tiger Bait said the 4th school was UCLA but it was super early on.

So what if Lane had accepted FSU?
They would have had to hurry and fire him before they could sign Lane?

Seems messssssy

I think someone else also reported it was UCLA.

FSU may have reached out, but it's almost hard to believe since they retained Norvell and owe him so much money. Even Spurrier was making fun of how poor FSU is recently.

Sounds like they thought Kiffin was one of the few coaches worth paying the buyout for

The odds are better that a world famous pop star falls in love with my coonass shenanigans on the bayou than the odds of the dumpster fire at UCLA luring away a playoff bound SEC coach
