The Shipleys off Ella BLVD in Houston has to be the most overrated spot in the world

Shipleys is already MID, but this place has CFA type lines spilling over on to the road. I can’t believe people are making pilgrimage trips to a place that tastes like every other fricking Shipleys.

That line is insane but it moves pretty quick. I always walk in or go to the one of 290 thats much better.

I remember trying shipley's for the first time during my first year of college and remember being completely underwhelmed. Made me appreciate getting Mary Lee and Good Morning Donut when I would go back home

I will fight you on Ella. Take that back!
Yea that location sucks. Cars tie up Ella all the time.

I was so excited when Shipley’s returned to BR a few years ago. Needless to say, I was disappointed. It’s nowhere near what it used to be.

They need to reconfigure it. There's only room for 1-2 cars before they're backed up on to Ella. I'll give the ladies credit because they're walking up and down the street taking orders to pump people through.
I get the people who live closer to it wanting to go to that one. I'm closer to TC Jester so hitting the new nice one on 290 is about the same for me and less stressful than being hung out in the road for 15 minutes.

I’ve never liked Shipleys. Honestly not a donut fan in general.
Kolaches and Breakfast Tacos are way better

They should've taken over the craphole across the street which has a larger footprint. Used to be a burger joint but I forgot the name.
Went in there once and was talking with the owner. He just put his slimy hands into the fries, took a few and started eating them

It's baffling that they refuse to do anything about their drive through.

One off Yale in the Heights is very efficient. Drive thru is great.

Southern Maid > Shipley’s > Mary Lee > Dunkin’

Shipleys bacon, egg and cheese kolaches are elite.
Everything else there is mid.

The Best donut places in Houston are always owned by Asians and have names like "Super Awesome Donuts" or something.
