LSU hiring Kiffin. Their fear is palpable. Don’t worry about the recruits or BK’s coaches. It will all work out and Kiffin will dominate.

They should be melting over by playing a meaningless game thus weekend when both are already in top 12. Best to be the third place finisher in SEC season.

It’s not meaningless to players or to coaches, especially when there’s bonus money on the line.

Also, I no longer live in LA, but am still in the South. I never run into Ohio State, Oregon, or Indiana fans, but I have to constantly take smack from Tennessee, UGA, and UF fans.

For me, an SEC title is more relevant than a natty. I mean…it either “just means more” or it doesn’t.

UGA gets a bye in the playoffs with a win on Saturday. How is that meaningless?

Yep. In fact every University is absolutely shitting in fear over this hire.

Maybe the NCAA will allow all other teams to create an all star type team to take on LSU.

Unless we can do something like this it is hopeless.

but its peaked your interest enough to come to this board and chime in on it. don't you have an 11-1 team to worry about? yet you're here.

UGA already had a bye, regardless.

Well, they hate the bye, so there’s that.

These people go from one "crisis" to the next. They love creating a soap opera.

Doesn't UGA already have a by. They are number 3 so all they can do is lose it. Alabama can only miss the playoffs entirely with a loss. So other than the trophy there's not much upside.

Every team that got a bye in last year’s playoffs lost their first game.

I agree. There’s obviously a lot of insecurity around the country. The last thing anyone outside of baton rouge wanted was to see LSU get an elite coach again who will know what to do with the athletes at LSU.

The recruiting calendar did Kiffin/LSU no favors, with National Signing Day coming three days after he was officially hired. He'll work the portal as he always does; LSU needs experienced players at multiple positions. It's possible 2026 is a transition season, and the program really rolls forward starting in 2027.

meh

i will say this. it was HARDER to win a sec title in the BCS times than a natty.
that has changed now with playoffs...however
pretty sure SEC was undefeated in BCS natty games(throwing out sec on sec i lay out below)

why? because the best challenge was from sec teams and not the team in the natty unless it was 2 teams in natty like we saw with LSU-bama and bama-UGA. that 2001 sec title felt like a natty to us who were there in atlanta.
