Mmm he was just shitting on lane just yesterday

I’d rather not see us experiment with someone who has never been a coach with a position group that was historically bad last year…. I seriously doubt Lane would gamble with something like that, so….

Yeah, seems like he's been against Kiffin the entire time. He seemed to be on his high horse. I also think he was big on hiring Sheppard.

Are you half retarded? Just because hes not a coach doesnt mean he can't teach proper blocking technique, etc. He's been a pro bowl OL for yrs, and you would say no to him teaching your linemen on how to block, just because hes never been a coach? U know how stupid that sounds? Some of these coaches never played ball at a high level, yet its ok...but yea were gonna pass on an alum thats a hall of fame OL, because hes never coached before...IGNORANT

Because great players always make great coaches? Do you know how ignorant you fricking sound? Just because he knows how to do something doesn’t mean he’s good at teaching it. There’s a massive difference there. A lot of great coaches weren’t great players, but they understood it and know how to properly relay it to the athletes that can execute it.
And, I would venture to guess I’m smarter than you at least, based on that incoherent rant you just went on to defend hiring someone who has never coached an offensive line at any level to get his first coaching job ever at LSU. That’s a little crazy. Should we just go hire every great player to coach each position group? You know why that doesn’t happen? Hilarious that you’re calling me the dumb one.

Why hate him?
Louisiana born and raised? Former all sec and all American LSU player? Saban recruit? member of the 2003 Championship team? All-pro and pro bowler in the NFL with career 235 starts across 16 seasons? Super Bowl champion? Christian?
Or does not wanting Lane not just override everything?

Why is it that the back woods rubes always want to hire anyone whose name they know.

Oh, the irony.
Let’s get every player that ever played to come back and coach. Even if they’re not a coach. I’m sure it will be fine. What’s Tommy Hodson doing? Sign him up as QB coach!

quote:He's from Monroe LOUISIANA and collectively is the #1 LSU OL in the programs history. shite, I wanted him and Mawae to come in and finish up up the season after BK got fired. They got to know something about playing OL with all those Pro-Bowls between them. I'm sure they could done something to improve the current OL shiteshow.

Gotta love when people call other people ignorant while simultaneously proving how ignorant they themselves are. Good grief this is dumb.
