Box blind windows

I will be building a wooden box blind on a small utility trailer that we can move around in our crop field. Just wanted to get some opinions on windows for this box. I was going to make wooden hinged windows or plexiglass, but I was looking for other ideas that may be better or more useful. The stand will be about 4x6. TIA

Dual track, multi section sliding windows (if that makes sense). Can open as little or as much as needed, and do so in different areas of the window.

Have those on my current box blind. They warp and don't keep wasp out.

plexiglass
I'm about to rebuild mine and I will be using plexiglass this time.

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask if they have any returned windows. They usually sell them cheap.
We did this for a party room at camp and put the rest of the windows in blinds.

I built one a few years ago and used deer view windows. Have been very pleased with them.

We have wooden hinge windows on 4 of our 6 box stands. Plexiglass doesn’t really seem to help as we rarely hunt in driving rain conditions and most of our shots are close enough to not want to be opening anything for fear of getting spottted. The ones with plexiglass just stay opened just like the wooden ones.
Academy windows look nice but I’ll pass on the extra $200 per stand and just keep using wasp spray as needed.

If I was building one I would buy some of the replacement windows for the sportsman’s condo: https://sportsmanscondo.com/project/replacement-windows

I have 5 game winner from academy windows in a 6’x4’ box blind. Size I have are 12”x24”
We also have and really like the sliding plexiglass on dual tracks. Very minimal movement to open window for a shot. We added a little weather stripping between plexiglass ends to help stop them from rattling and help with scent control.

Dual tracks is what we use with 3 sections of plexi glass. Cut out is the entire length of the blind. Whatever height you want.
Also make sure to put a small awning over each window. Sun can blind you

This is what I do when I make blinds. I use cabinet hinges that have small teflon pieces that help with keeping the windows open when they are lifted. This is very effective and cheap. I make 6x6 blinds because we have kids that come out. I can make them for about $250-$300 each

I would buy deerview slider windows and design my stand around that. I've retrofit a few stands with some of the flip hinge windows. They will custom make them to the size you want, and they work great. I also have some coworkers with the sliders and they love them too.

I used these after Academy ran out of theirs last year, not quite as nice as Academy's but they are about half the price. I've had no issues with them.
