Tulane potentially promoting Will Hall? Anyone hear anything?

Blake Baker has been rumored as the leading candidate and even a bunch of Tulane “insiders” said it was a done deal. However, there appears to be some smoke of Will Hall being retained and elevated to HC. He is their OC and with signing day tomorrow, expect to hear a decision from Tulane about their future HC today. Let’s hope we get to keep Baker for a bit longer…

He would have it easier here, definitely. I do believe he has that HC itch right now though and there is a perfect “prove it” opportunity at his old stomping grounds.

Wbrz just said on their news segment Baker was retained. Curious if that has anything to do with it.

I think that retained news it just Kiffin coming in and saying he wants to keep Baker and not bring his own DC. That doesnt necessarilymean Baker stays though.

I've posted in a few threads that I have a buddy that is close to the program and hasn't been wrong very many times in the past on things like this. He said Baker agreed to new contract with LSU. Also added he was Tulane's first choice and he hasn't heard he signed yet, but verbally agreed to LSU.

Maybe Baker has agreed to take the Tulane job, but Tulane has agreed to allow him to coach at LSU for the next three seasons to finish what LSU is starting.

Wrong. Will Hall was OC at Tulane in 2019 and 2020.
He left to coach Southern Miss in 2021 and was fired in 2024.
He came back as Tulanes pass game coordinator.
If Baker is hired as HC Will Hall should be the OC.

Potentially. I watched his playcalling deteriorate throughout his time at USM.

Wouldn’t surprise me I just think Tulane would be waving the white flag with this hire
The pressure of constantly reloading and maintaining a good football program could be getting to them
I just hope not man. Gotta keep going hard and get in the ACC where your position improves somewhat
