Environmental impact of Christmas

I’m a conservationist, not an environmentalist. I don’t believe in manmade global warming, don’t support wind turbines, and don’t like electric vehicles. I really don’t like single use plastics.
Glitter: Shredded ‘micro’ plastic that gets everywhere and will be on earth longer than our headstones
Fake garland / wreathes / trees: More plastic. Too many of the green plastic needles end up in our storm drains and then waterways
Packaging: The staggering amount of product / gift packaging that ends up almost directly in a landfill
Real Christmas trees: The amount of microplastics put into the soil and waterways from hauling them around
And I haven’t even touched on all the ornaments and light strands that get thrown away each year.
Much of the time I wish I didn’t notice things like this.

I like Christmas. I’m not convinced that Santa or Jesus wants us to celebrate with an explosion of garbage each year.

I hope your grandma gets run over by a reindeer.

Happy Holidays to you too, Greta.

I like the government even less.
Consumers can drive change without regulation.

Anyone that worries about microplastics needs to grow a set of balls.
All of the packaging can go straight into the recycle bin.
You should focus on the amount of plastic shite your wife buys to decorate for the other 13 things a year she decorates for. Can't use the same napkin rings year round, baw!

I'm here to help. Now think about mardi gras beads
FWIW, I do agree that consumer waste is a legitimate problem.
