This is the constant reply to all of the LK to LSU news and I just don't see it happening if/when DeBoer is gone. LK is not a good fit for Bama.

I think Verge will always do what’s necessary to keep him unless he starts losing games he shouldn’t. Only job I’d be concerned about would be the Bama job if it opens while he’s at LSU. If he wins big at LSU, I could see Bama considering him.

You don't win big at LSU and leave for Bama. LSU would give him half of the state tax revenue.

No it’s not true. The fact is he’s not even gonna stay here. This is a big troll as part of the turnkey masterpiece

He will announce at his press conference today that he’s taking the Florida job

why is bama a better job?

Saban didn't agree...less HS talent, more expectations, less teeth.

If LK coaches at LSU for 6 years and gives us our best run un program history, I'll help pack his bags to fly to Tuscaloosa

Lane discovered yesterday with the ops and other facilities tour every resource is in place at LSU. Honestly if Bama covets LK in a few years that’s a great problem.

2 Nc's and beating bama 5 out 6 seasons should help me in joining you to help pack his bags.

Why be a shadow at bear and Saban?

No question bama is top job, but Dabore has them in SEC

So doesn’t look like that job is in question

If he’s unhappy here, I guarantee that he’ll flirt with Bama

So yeah, there’s a real good chance he’ll leave

LSU isn’t Lane’s last stop and when he leaves, it’s gonna be messy.

So just sit back and enjoy the ride. Live in the moment for once

Perused tide fans and the overwhelming consensus was they didn't want him..... Probably 70+% said absolutely NO.

He's not going to Bama to be under the shadow of Saban. He will create his own legacy at LSU and if he decides to leave it will be for the NFL

Alabama, Texas or whatever team he deems to be of “higher stature” than LSU. It’s that or you will fire him for underperforming first. It’s a great ride while you are on it but when it’s over it’s a dirty breakup. FWIW: I’m not mad at him, LSU or Ole Miss for what had played out. I knew 6 years ago we probably only would get 3 years. We got more than I assumed. The calendar has to be fixed and I hope this is an example of why it’s broken. I see all sides of the issue. I just wish everyone would lay off Keith Carter. He did what he believed to be the right thing in the situation he was given. Think about when Lane leaves for his next school, are you going to let him stay and potentially poach all your players and coaches or are you going to ask him to make a decision? When you present your kid two options and they come back with a third, do you give in or say that was not one of the options? He simply was playing within the rules as they are today. They absolutely should be changed, but those are not going to be for those years

This. Only rational move would be the NFL in my opinion

And if he leaves so what, he rebuilt the program and we have some titles to show for it

was obv a sarcastic post.. I don't understand why people worry about LSU not being a final destination.. as mentioned, biggest regret of Saban's career. If you win, a dynasty can be built here. I'd hope to keep LK until he f'ing retires. I don't want a 5-6 year historic run. I want an iconic coach here for 15+ years with a few natties sprinkled in. I don't need 10 natty's in 15 years but want to compete for SEC and CFBP most years. We're also just more fun than Bama by a long shot. If/when LK is successful, don't want to turn into Bama fans that feel entitled to win week after week.
