If you pay any attention to recruiting, you will know there’s a QB at Evangel who averages something like 400 passing yards and 100 rushing yards a game with 12 yards per attempt, 75% completion rate, and 8 yards per carry in Shreveport. He comes fall of 2027. He is exactly who Kiffin can take to high levels. A perfect fit for his system. Those years will be extremely fun to watch.

If we don’t get Elijah Haven, it’s not a big miss as I think Peyton ‘Pop’ Houston is just as talented or even more so in that class.

I really like Pop. He's a gamer. He certainly has the "it" factor.

I don't want him. Look at the average DB Haven goes up against.

They lost 49-20 to the Karr machine. I think Houston had a good game.

Evangel offense looked so gimmicky. QB was literally running for his life most games so it was difficult to really tell how good or bad he really is this game.

No way LSU wastes a season breaking in a new QB. Look what happened to Michigan this year. Houston would be better off going to a smaller school and getting immediate reps. That's just the reality of SEC football.

I met Pop at the Bayou Jam against West Monroe this season. Talked to him a few minutes and seemed to be a wry grounded young man. Then, watching him play was very impressive. He would be a huge get.

Aren’t the majority of the QBs that come out of that school system type guys for the most part?
