What do you expect Kiffin's record to be in his 1st year?

Gone are the days of waiting for recruits to develop with the NIL. With the talent and money LSU has to spend there is no reason Kiffin shouldnt hit the ground running and win at least 10 games in his 1st season if he all that LSU fans think he is. I mean...Brian Kelly won 10 games in his 1st season...and even his 2nd season... at LSU and he took over a shite program. So is it safe to say if Kiffin wins 8 games or less in his 1st season....he is absolute bust?

Since the portal era most coaches underachieve in year 1.
Perhaps Lane is different because he has been scouting the same players in the same area

Heavily depends on who he gets in the portal for QB and WRs.

Do all the irish fans already hate you on whatever forum you retards congregate at and now you've made your way over here?

Why in God's name would someone spend so much time on a board to discuss a team that's not theirs?

Get it together, man. This is embarrassing for you.

For reference, next year's schedule, in no order:

Clemson
McNeese
OOC TBD (presumably easy)
Alabama
Texas
Texas A&M
Mississippi State
@Arkansas
@Auburn
@Tennessee
@Ole Miss
@Kentucky

I'm only really worried about Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, and Tennessee. State, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, and the OOC teams are not good. Ole Miss is obviously good right now, but I think they take a big step back next year. They do get us in Oxford, though.

All of those teams can be beaten. I think we get at least one win out of Bama/Texas/A&M at home.

I'll say 9-3 next year. Some very preemptive crowing from the haters, not appreciating what's on the horizon, or else getting their shots in while they still can.

Kiff is going to absolutely kill it in the portal and high school, so I can see anywhere from 8 & 4 to 10 & 2 with playoff berth. Granted, I won’t be a fool and set expectations too high. I’m just saying I won’t rule out slipping into the playoff.

16-0 with a NC. Might as well set the bar high.

Schedule actually sets up very nicely, Considering we play 5 SEC road games and we will likely be favored in all of them. That away slate is about as easy as you’ll see in the SEC

9-3

- schedule is kind of a pain in the arse
- you're having to replace so many pieces since LSU went all in this year.

If they somehow hit a HR in the portal at QB and one or two of the perceived strong teams end up sucking, I could see that 9-3 being better.

A lot depends on roster retention and who he can grab in the portal. Definitely need a serviceable QB and OT’s that can attempt a block
