The ad’s on this site are garbage

As I was reading the new about lane kiffin i scrolled down to read the comments and see two men facing one another and it say…..
“Am I gay” take the quiz now. Chicken you can do better than that.

The idea that every add you see is based on your web history is just not true. They only have a few adds for most sites lined up and for sites like this, it's about what the company that TD is selling space to is going to run. I use a VPN and see the same adds.
Now, if you go and browse on a major commercial site like Amazon etc., you have a good chance of seeing what you browsed for in adds but that's due to Amazon working with the advert company not the website you see the add on.
At this point many sites will get generic adds that push propaganda or piss off the website basic user as part of coordinated political action. No different than on the roadways, with some huge billboard being provocative in a place where it will cause outrage. Rage is a big buck.

Now I'm confused. For a moment there I thought that I was seeing multiple ads for shoulder holsters and Florsheim wing-tips dress shoes for a very good reason, but now I'm being told it has nothing to do with my browsing history.
