Can Kiffin at least begin helping run things now? Remember BK sat in the office watching.

I remember thinking it was wierd when BK said he only observed practices and didn’t participate in team activities for bowl prep when he first came in.

I know the bowl game won’t be a reflection of this team and new staff, but wouldn’t they want to use it as a time to kick things off and begin establishing culture.

I want him spending 0 time in bowl prep and 100% of his time recruiting and assembling his staff

You would have to tie me down to keep me from getting involved.

I’m not sure kiffin would feel comfortable handling a team that he had zero input in the roster. This team SHOULD look vastly different 6 months from now if the NIL promises are kept.

I would not go that far. He has to recruit his current players, and that means getting to know them. Also, establishing the culture is very important.

He needs to be at practice and working with MVB to see if there’s any chance he can make him the guy next year

Also if he gets the offense somewhat right for the bowl game and we drop 40+ points he’s gonna have his pick of portal kids who want a seat on the Lane Trane

I’m not sure why he can’t do both. He’s definitely being paid well enough to do both, and we have a GM and staffers to assist with making all those things easier on a coach.

Since he brought about 50 staff members with him, I guess he'll be recruiting a lot.

Normally i would agree with you, but signing day is this week. Bowl prep won’t be for a little while. He’s keeping a bunch of staff so it would be good to work with them now.

Now I don’t think he should take over, but he should absolutely be involved in prep

Im sure he can handle both. Need to get that attitude and confidence in these guys ASAP. Nothing would energize everyone more than an improved offense in that bowl game. If he’s not coaching the bowl game, why even watch it? I get that he may not want to step on Frank’s toes, so I won’t be mad if he doesn’t. But it would be fun to watch.
