Luke Bryan’s “that’s my kind of night” as Terrance Magee outruns TCU defenders.

ESPN needs to quit being a cornball brotha with these random dumb songs and go back to the 90s/early 2000s cfb on espn jingles.

We just gonna ignore that our rotations didn't suck this year, huh?

God, I hope not. Wilson needs to be as far away from actual coaching as possible. Give him an admin job if you must keep him. No coaching.

My 2 Desean Smith memories:

1) him getting some reps in his 1st game as a true freshman against TCU. Particularly one play where Mett threw him what shoulda been a redzone TD (I think Smith dropped it).

I think they may have even split him out wide for a play. At any rate, I was pumped that we had a highly recruited TE that looked like one of those big WR types, and we were actually using him in the 1st game of his career.

2) the bowl game vs ND the year Jennings was the starting QB. we had one of those "predict a player of the game" threads on tRant and I randomly said Desean. and dammit if he didn't have the game of his LSU career.

He’s not a good RB coach. Our backs get more indecisive and fragile under him. Their vision somehow worsens.

Wilson does NOT need to be in charge of RB rotations/substitutions.

I’d prefer CLK shitcan him entirely but that of course is Lane’s choice.

I've read or heard he won't be coaching, he'll have a recruting role. He stinks with RB rotation. If you're getting hot running great...time to sit. TERRIBLE

The LSU YPC from 2008 until now does not support your premise. Bold are the years Frank was the RB coach.

2008 - 4.2
2009 - 3.7
2010 - 4.6
2011 - 4.9
2012 - 4.3
2013 - 4.7
2014 - 4.6
2015 - 6.1

2016 - 6.1
2017 - 4.8
2018 - 4.0
2019 - 5.0
2020 - 3.3
2021 - 3.3
2022 - 4.9
2023 - 6.2
2024 - 4.1
2025 - 3.6

In 2023, JD boosted that number up. Running backs only were 5.3 YPC; JD was an astounding 8.3 YPC. In 2022, JD averaged 4.8 YPC, less than the team average.
