No. Being totally realistic, the portal is not going to be open until well after the playoffs. The players should be free to finish the season if they want to. Let that play out, and then see when the dust settles who might want to follow Lane.

Doesn't transfer portal open early for players on a team who lose their coach? Or maybe that's only after a certain calendar date.

Yes when a coach leaves players have a window they can leave.

No. The new rule is based on when a new coach is hired, not when a coach is fired. It gives players a 15 day window. This was mean to stop players entering the portal mid-season after a firing.

Ok. I just wouldn’t expect an official entry from any player on that team until they get bounced.
