why would they?

genuinely who does it benefit?

He can coach ole miss and actively recruit against them and try to convince Ole Miss recruits to flip to his new school?

If the shoe were on the other foot I would absolutely let him coach LSU in the playoffs. No question.

Him coaching Ole Miss in the playoff is a Kiffin/Ole Miss problem. It shouldn’t be an LSU problem, which it is if he isn’t here tomorrow.

Bc they’re going to fade back into mediocrity.

It’s their last chance to win a natty. Suck it up and let the man put in his 2 weeks notice.

That’s why!!

If you think he's a good coach wouldn't it benefit the team?

This. If 2004 Saban was in the playoffs (he’s basically their Saban at this point), and said “I’m going to Miami, but I’d like to finish the season”… why wouldn’t you want your best chance at winning?

no they're not.

no AD in their right mind should allow that. Kiffin is bitch-made for even requesting it.

I completely agree. He and this team worked hard to get to where they are. In past seasons prior to the bs he would've been able to do this.

Downvote away if you are a cuckhold.

Why not? Finish what you started. You’d give up a shot at NC? That’s weak my guy.

We will very likely be in the same situation with him and the NFL within 5 years.

Better know up front this guy is not a loyalty guy.

You literally wouldn’t. You cannot allow your coach to leave for an in conference rival, during a playoff run, recruit your players to his next destination, and it be just fine. It makes zero sense.

Honestly dude, I’d let the players decide.

Worst case scenario, yeah you lose and all your guys leave.

Best case scenario?

Either way you’re losing a lot of guys. Might as well try to win it.

What you’re suggesting is just giving up. Good luck with that.

If he turns the program around and leaves in 5 years, then mission accomplished.

Lagniappe: LSU has an abundance of money designed for the next coach that we wouldn’t have to pay Lane.

So OM lets him coach through December. Do they not hire a coach until January? No.

They hire a coach next week and he starts recruiting the portal, but the guy coaching the team is also recruiting for his new school and talking to a few of his players to go with him.

The new HC sees this and wants to Tonya Harding his arse. What does the AD do then?

Two head coaches at the same time is absurd.
