Stackhouse & Wallace or Jamison & Carter. Who was the better duo in Chapel Hill?

I’m going with Jamison and Carter. Jamison had one of the best seasons in college basketball history in 1998. Vince was also a great player.

don’t care. Never liked UNC unless they were playing Duke.

Stack and Wallace. Carter wasn’t used properly at UNC and they had the better supporting cast but didn’t go any further than Stack and Wallace who carried more of the weight for their teams.

2 final 4s for Hansbrough. They were upset by that Georgetown team with Hibbert, Jeff Green and Ewing jr. in the 07 elite 8.

Carter was definitely underutilized at UNC

I was a Carter fan, went to camp with him and saw what he could do pre UNC. I’ll never understand moving Carter around and limiting his minutes because they wanted to play Okulaja at the 3 so badly.

Jordan and Worthy were great but not as good as Jamison and Carter.

That's actually a great question. Vince Carter wasn't really Vince Carter at UNC if that makes sense, but you could see it coming. But man, Jamison was a beast from day one. Stack and Wallace were a great fit together and that Soph year they were dynamic. Both pair ended up losing a Final Four semifinal game they should have won.

I'd give the slight edge to Stackhouse and Wallace. Jamison was a bit more productive than Wallace in college, but Stackhouse was an absolute force while Carter was more of a passive player with burst of dominant play and insane dunks.

Agree, have to remember that Wallace rolled his ankle in the ACC championship game vs Wake that final season at UNC and was never 100% during the tourney. They lost to eventual champ Arkansas by 4 in the Final Four. With a heathy Sheed it might have been different.
