Like you said. They did it to BK too. Their theatrics with LSU know no bounds. We just attract big coaches and they cannot fathom that LSU is simply a better job.

LSU just hired a sitting P5 coach, fired him and is now going after another.
Like it or not, that’s GREAT drama and talking points for these guys. LSU is the bully trying to take everyone lunch money.

They’re trying to feel like they have some kind of influence on the decision, when the reality is the media is way down the totem pole of importance. It’s been the media SOP for a decade now. Report the emotions instead of the facts.

Did Deboer catch this much heat for leaving a Washington that had just played in a national championship game?
Maybe he did and I just don't remember or because it happened so fast after season's end, media didn't care.
Washington and Ole Miss are essentially the same level of program just as Bama and LSU are essentially the same level of program.

Why do you all think it's about LSU? It's about Kiffin leaving at all right now. Right or wrong, he's had a reputation of not hanging around.
Hell, when OM hired him everyone said he would be gone in 2 years. That's all because of his reputation. He hung around and OM invested in his program. Paid him a ton and ponied up money for him to buy the players he wanted, for the most part. Now with a playoff birth imminent, his old tendencies of looking at the next better option instead of focusing on winning where he's built it up.
So it's not about LSU, it's about Kiffin being the hired gun his reputation used to speak of.
Obviously, he has a right to go wherever he wants to coach. However, that's where the media types are coming from. ,

First time a coach has bailed on a team in a serious playoff run while it was happening. Rubs a lot of people the wrong way, including those in the media. Not to mention seeing Ole Miss going to the playoffs and maybe hosting one is a feel good story.

Well that situation was a little different because the playoffs were over and they were losing a lot of guys on that team. I think the main thing the media is taking issue with is walking away from a team that still has the playoffs to play. But that's just a product of the calendar set up the way it is. If the portal and signing day didn't happen until after the playoffs then it wouldn't be happening this way

The real reason is everyone in college football is afraid how dangerous LSU will be with Kiffin. They’re hiding that behind fake morality that they otherwise wouldn’t have if it were their team in LSUs situation.

Why are all LSU fans retarded ? You can't see that if you actually waited until after the season was over with and hired kiffen it wouldn't be a big deal at all. CKD was done coaching , season over , he lost in the natty against Michigan. Then he was contacted, interviewed and hired , very different than being hired before his team played their conference championship, playoff games.
