How many times do you think a player has ever recorded:
40+ points
10+ rebounds
40+ minutes
and
0 turnovers
I would guess not often

That's an incredible stat considering he leads this team in TOs.

damn, that is an impressive stat. Especially when you consider LSU committed 21 turnovers as a team.

I thought it was a mis-print when I saw it
I mean, Temple had 6 TO's and 2 pts.

thats what made it a special night, im sure there has been PLENTY of 40 and 10s in recent years...
maybe back in the day when a couple of big guys really dominated
wilt chamberlain averaged 30 and 18 a game...tried to find a game log and couldnt, but im sure there were a couple of games where he didnt have any turnovers and scored 40
im not sure if they even kept track of TO in that day anyway...
that being said, as far as recored games with that line.. might not be many

Of course there have been plenty 40 pt and 10 reb. games but the stat was 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, AND 40+ minutes (with 0 turnovers). So unless someone else has done it in overtime then the number will be very small.

i think the 40 minute thing is dumb...who cares how long he played... he scored, rebounded and had no turnovers
i mean, if we are looking to single the guy out...
"who scored 40 and 10, with zero TO on a wednesday night that ended in double OT with at pleast 3 players fouling out on his team in which his school started with the letter L"

Well I am Pretty sure in that 3OT game with Loyola Marymount, Hank Gathers had those numbers.
Damn, that was a Saturday

It IS pertinent. The longer you play, the higher the odds that a player will commit a TO. A little extra consideration besides just the laws of probability, is the fatigue factor.
