One guy asked him "what's difficult about this decision?"

And Lane had a big long coach speak answer with Saban mannerisms. Basically said "you guys make decisions every day".

Still grilling him.

They really think they have a CFB golden land over there.

Good. He's handled this entire decision pretty poorly.

I don’t know when it started but he’s sounded like Saban for a while now. Hand gestures and all

How, because he didn't immediately announce he was coming to LSU? He wanted to finish the regular season with the players he recruited (both from high school and the portal) for the first playoff they will ever make. I loathe Ole Miss but that's admirable.

Picking Ole Piss over a blue blood like LSU will have him old and regretful, which he claims he doesn’t want to be.

I mean.....they are on their way.

I don't know why this is so inconceivable. He has brought them to their best era in the history of the program. With the way he has been able to navigate NIL, there's no reason that that success doesn't compound.

I'd be pretty pissed if I was an Ole Miss fan and/or media.

Edit - Downvote all you want, it's not untrue. Lane already has them on a trajectory to be what LSU was when Saban got there. It's not a 1:1, obviously LSU has a few more advantages, but every great program was trash at one time.

That’s a bullshite take. He coached his team do the end of the regular season and didn’t publicly comment on other jobs.

In what way is that poorly handling it?

The frick out of here dude.

Yeah, sort of how Mike Bianco mimicked a lot of Skip’s mannerisms. May be an unconscious imitating of a respected mentor.

I bet he is thinking if I don't leave now I might not get another chance when I sign the extension in the foreseeable future.

He’s literally morphing into him…

Best LSU can hope for is a Saban mentored and Saban counseled guy.
