Would be a solid hire. Better than Napier imo.

Better than Napier is debatable. He had 2 (1) loss seasons at ULL.. and came from the Saban coaching tree.

I say not preferred cuz I like to get Offensive minded HCs so thats just my preference

I think Sumrall is a damn good coach. We may get kiffin. But if we don’t I would not be disappointed one bit if we got him. Dude is a hard arse a damn good football coach

Good coach. Young, proven winner, would be a solid choice after Lane

How? Why would UF hire another G5 coach from Louisiana?

It's doing the same thing and expecting different results...aka insanity.

He’s going to Ole Miss, so you can take your GAYtor arse back to the Florida boards.

Other than coaching in the same state there’s nothing really similar between the two. So that’s kind of dumb to say because it didn’t work with Napier, sumrall would fail to

He’s not a hire that will ignite the fan base and tear it up in the portal day one. More of a program builder type

I don’t watch much Tulane football. So I can’t speak definitely. But there is a Tulane poster on this board who has stated his observation that Sumrall has clock management issues, but is otherwise a solid coach.

The fact that he’s mentioned as a top candidate for nearly every SEC opening indicates a widely-held belief that he’s going to be successful as an SEC coach. I also remember that Napier had interest from USCe, Auburn, Miss St., and that he’d decided against those jobs. But I think it’s a mistake to think Sumrall=Napier based on both coming from G5. Sumrall may turn out like Napier, but I think his style is going to result in more passionate and aggressive play style. We’ll see. Still think he ends up at Auburn.
