Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but why would DeBoer want to go to PSU?

Is there some kind of connection there or is it just the board‘s opinion that he wants to escape the pressure of Alabama?

Wouldn't have a clue.

I don't typically think of Penn State as a perennial big dog. For some, likely, but not here. Alabama, doesn't take long to call that roster

If Bama loses this weekend to Auburn, the heat on DeBoer is going to turn up to extremely uncomfortable levels.

Say what you will but I could see him making the jump because a 9 win season at Penn State is acceptable, but not at Bama.

You must have missed the part where PSU just fired their last coach less than 10 games removed from playing in the CFP semifinals.

Not everyone has what it takes to coach at Alabama.

A silly rumor but Penn State is in a state that is an economic powerhouse and has more boosters with mo’ money.

Penn State is a massive national brand that easily has as many fans as Bama across the country. People in the Deep South don’t realize how big they are. They have an Ohio state like ceiling with the right coach.

Obviously Bama is Bama. But just depends if he likes it there or not.
