Of course, they will. They don't have any choice. That was the contractual obligation to which they agreed.

This is more than was originally reported that his counter offer was for. They made sure to note that as long as he meets the terms outlined in the contract (like searching for work). My guess is they don’t think he is going to be able to live up to the terms.

Sure. Hell, they could have settled for $1.00 ... if Kelly had agreed to it. He is owed the full buyout (minus future earnings as a coach elsewhere) according to the terms of his contract. He can accept less if he so chooses. He doesn't.
