IMO I would rather them lose so their isn’t some happy playoff vibe after the game that could sway Lanes decision.

If those on here are saying he’s signed sealed and delivered, then I guess it shouldn’t matter.

But would rather this scenario not even take place.

Nah frick that. Let them win and still take their coach. Really twist that knife once it’s down in there.

I don't believe it matters either way.

I see no way they lose this game, but it would be classic Kiffin to lose a game he shouldn't in a million years

If I'm LSU I'm hoping for a loss.

Sure it would be a stain on his reputation temporarily (your distractions potentially cost a team a playoff berth), but with a win and things could get emotional and swing Lane to back out of his MOU or whatever he has in the LSU lockbox.

If they lose they blame Lane for creating the distraction whether he stays or goes.

If they win and he goes then they hate him just the same.

If they win and he stays, he replaces Jesus Christ as their new lord and savior.

I have been clear from the beginning I don't think it's a great match. The immaturity, online trolling, gimmicky stuff on the sideline and uniforms, braindead decisions during games, and losing to far inferior opponents almost annually.

He'll win a bunch of games at LSU, but I still don't think it's a great match and he'll bolt for the NFL in short order.

I won't melt, but I don't think he's some elite coach that deserves generational money and contract length. I don't care about the money, it's not my money (or anyone here's money), but it seems ridiculous for Kiffin.

I'd rather a Golesh type, give them an incentive based "prove it" contract for a 3 years for extra motivation.

I don't want some stupid stuff people outlined here. But just like a $6-7m contract with a $2m playoff incentive. Something like that. Auto extension and raise if he makes playoffs 2/3 of his first years, etc.

I just have seen a coach get a massive guaranteed contract and coast. Don't feel like going through it again. I also think Kiffin will leave for the NFL, not some other guys.

Yea they had the most talented team they’ve ever had last year and they lost to Kentucky in Oxford. They can absolutely lose this game, although it seems unlikely with State’s run defense.

Yes, and I hope the Committee knocks them out of the playoff so there is no chance Kiffin coaches through the playoffs.

Yes, I’m the dumbass who started a thread last night saying I think he coaches through the playoffs. I’m still dumb, and still think this but rather he comes to and focuses 100% on LSU.
